judgement against me

If you have a judgement against you, can they garnish your checking account if there is another name on it besides yours?

You mean a joint checking account. Yes they can, so I would suggest you get your name off everything very soon.

Yes, as "Tickle" said, they can - you own it and the other person owns it and either of you can take it all, as can your creditor.
