I am on fixed income. I receive Social Security Disability and it is my only income. I was notified that I owe back child support in Pennsylvania. I have tried unsuccessfully to recitfy this problem, that I do not owe this. The state of Pennsylvania has advised that they were going to take out a monies directly from my Social Security check. They have decided the high amount. I advised that I could not afford that large amount. I was advised to fight it. I can not afford an attorney. What can I do to stop them from taking this large amount from my check each month for the next 10 months? How can we reach an agreement on the amount to deduct even though I do not owe, but can not afford an attorney to fight it?
