Does a will have to be recorded at the county courthouse to be legal? the cost is almost 50.00 Dollars

Each state in the US has its own requirements first as to wording, as to if it can be hand written or not, and to how many witnesses it must have and if it has to be notorised or not.

Normally they don't have to be recorded, merely keep where family members will know where it is.
