Retail theft record?

I am a nurse. My company was recently purchased by another co.
I was informed that they will do a criminal background check.
In 1991 I plead guily to retail theft. Will this still be on my record?
Should I worry? This was 15 years ago. I live in Pennsylania and I was an adult when I did this stupid thing.
Thank you for your response.

Yes, no criminal record unless it is exsponged from records will always show up for the rest of your life.

also I will make another note, if you ever have a background search done for a national security poistion or a job with a prison or police department, any arrest (even if not convicted) and all convictions, even those covered or sealed as an adult will still show up on the one they run.

The only records that will not show up is those as a minor. But these are only sealed not destroyed and still can be seen with a court order.

Hello longy:

The Padre is right. So, to avoid problems in the future, I suggest you get your record expunged. You may need an attorney, or if you're resourceful, you can do it yourself.

If you don't take care of it, it's only going to come up again, and again, isn't it?

PS> If you have been a good employee, I doubt you'll be fired. Let's hope, anyway.
