EAD validity

EAD validity

Hi ,

I currently hold a valid EAD till Oct 2008 ( my L2 visa is valid till 2010 ) .
If I go on leave and return in a few weeks , do I need to reapply for EAD ?

Does EAD expire with I-94 ?

Please let me know .
