Probation

HI,
I would petition the court, to explain the circumstances. If the court knows you are trying to meet your financial obligations and can't, then it will know you are concerned and trying. The court might be able to suggest some type of employment to help you.
I do wish you good luck, and keep up hope.

Fines and Fees

Although the Probation Officer may have a little leway as to the time frame that the fines and fees are paid, ultimately, the judge ordered it to happen so it had better happen. If your attorney files a motion and goes before the judge concerning this matter, they can usually buy you some time but you must decide if paying an attorney is worth it. Another scenario would be that the Court has a collection agency they do business with and that will end up costing you more in the long run. If there is any way possible, get the money and pay them off. You will sleep better for it!

Hello talan:

I would get a job flipping burgers if I had to. Once you violate, your probation will probably get extended, you'll have more costs and fines, you'll have lost whatever job you have, and will diminish your chances for getting another one AFTER you get out.........

And, you'll still owe the money.

One year of probation could turn into five years very easily, with a lot of short stints in the slam.

Nope, you're gonna have to pay, one way or another.

pay

excon has been there and knows

yes, I would get a second or third job, no matter what it is.

you can perhaps get an extenstion but your probation and I am sure added probation costs will continue and continue.

If you are trying to pay, the probation officer has some (not a lot) of say in getting your violated ( picked up) but then you sit in jail waiting a probation hearing, then they extend it maybe, and you are worst off than you were.

PAY the cost

Thank you all for the excellent advice,to catch you up I went to the clerk and my probation officer and worked out a deal that allows me to pay a reduced payment as long as I satisfy the probation conditions which I'm doing, so far so good.I'm almost there. Thanks again,I"LL keep you posted.

Good job!

You went about it in the proper way and they worked with you. Good! Now, just keep a good attitude and decide to complete this probation and you will. As long as you are trying they will work with you. A probation officer likes to release people from their case loads. Would you want 300 people on your load or 100 which is so much easier to work. Any way, keep it up and Good luck!

P.S. Excon

Hey Excon, don't you already have a job flipping burgers? So why get another one when you can just pull double shifts? Just thought I would run that by you to save you the walk down the street. your good buddy MAGPROB!

Rude Dude

Hello magprob:

More personal insults? You didn’t learn the first time I kicked your butt? You want more of me? Ok!

You think insulting me is going to garner respect for you? You just don't get it. You're just unhappy that you got busted by the site managers for trying to sell your rag. But, the rules..... Oh, yeah, those darn rules. And, like most cops, you don't think they apply to you.

Well, guess what, Dude - rules do count, This isn't the precinct house. This isn't the prison guard break room. This is the real world where we actually hold our officers to a higher standard. You got caught cheating, and all you can do is snivel about it. These aren't tough rules, either. There are only 7 of 'em.

So, what do you do to your probationers who continued to deny they did anything wrong- kinda like you're doing? Isn't it good to admit that you've done wrong when you get caught? So, instead of admitting your mistake, and moving on, you denigrate me, as though I had something to do with your being a cheater. Nope, you did that all by yourself.

So, why is it, that probation officers and cop wanna be's and prison guards, don't think they need to obey the rules? You're better than us? Please, elucidate us.

excon

Chill Out Dude

You are good for sales! When you told people to NOT buy my book they did! I have nothing personal with you, you chose that. I just want you to keep telling people I am a no good copper and not to buy my book! If you think all probation officers are pricks then I only have to tell you I tried to help people all I could. As a prison Gaurd I looked all around me and saw some pretty RAW deals but if I spoke out I was a dissenter. Thats just the way the world works. Any way, I am havin fun jokin around with you even if you are too serious. You are the most ANAL jail bird I have ever met! Besides that, I don't really think you did hard time and I think your just a POSER anyway!
