You have let two something get repo ( maybe cars ??) you had a co-signer on one of them, that is stuck paying off your repo since you are not paying it ???

Now you are not wanting to pay the old debts off, but you want to get a new loan. You are afrad that the old co-signer will know about this, and be mad at you because you are not paying what you are suppose to, have stuck them with your debt because they were nice enough to co-sign for you.

While they may not get a letter, if you get the loan, will not the co-signer know about it anyway, .

Sounds like you are not doing your legal and moral duty and responsiblity to pay off prior old debts before you go back into more debt.

Sounds like you need some serious debt couseling and learn how to do a budget that will include paying off your old debts.
