| I was in a similar situation a long time ago. Someone hit my car with their car. Totaled my car. I called their insurance company. Once they found out I didn't have insurance, they wouldn't even talk to me.
I filed a personal lawsuit against them and got the money that I needed. But, it was under $5,000. That was the monetary limit for which I could sue someone for small claims where I lived. You may be able to file for more money where you live.
My point is, that you should be able to get some money by going to small claims.
Another thing that you might want to consider, is going to an attorney and at least having a free initial consultation in order to get some answers. |
