He claims you on his taxes? How? You aren't related.

Anyone can list anyone as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy.

What State? If it's his house, he can evict you.

There is no legal process which legally ends a relationship. He wants out, he walks away.

If the tax return was submitted fraudulently and you did nothing about it you are a co-conspirator.

ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

Most US states have abolished common-law marriage, but some still recognize it. So without knowing where you are we can't let you know what rights, if any, you have.

As noted, unless you qualify as common law, then he has been fraudulently filing his income taxes.

Just curious: what's an other half boyfriend?

Do you mean "other half" a/k/a "boyfriend"? OK.

Hello mz:

You have the same rights ANY roommate would have. That's ZERO!

You have the right to anything you have your name on the deed or title of. So if you own a car in just your name, you own it, If you have a car in your and his name, you will have to try and buy his half from him.

But in general you don't have any rights, I am not sure how he is putting you on his insurance, do you have your domestic relationship registered with the state ?
It appears you will have almost no rights,

Where do you live, there are specific rules to common law, an insurance company saying so, does not make it so for divorce court.
