    Joint account garnishment in va
    Can a joint account be garnished in VA and granted if only one of the account holders name is on the garnishment.

    Yes, As long as the garnishee's name is on the account as a joint tenant, the whole account can be attached.

    Yes. They don't know or care if it's not the debtors money. If the account has his name on it, it's fair game.
