My husbands life insurance policy and past due child support

I live in the state of Nebraska. My husband has taken out an insurance policy that lists me as 50% Beneficiary with a 25% to his daughter. He is currently in Bankruptcy court and owes the IRS a bunch of money along with his child support being way behind both are listed in the BK. My fear is I will get stuck paying all of our bills ... putting him in the ground (not to be harsh) and paying all of his past bills too .... which will pretty much wipe out what will be the portion allocated to me. I guess my questions are ....

Is my fear founded?
Can I protect myself if it is?
Can his ex-wife get at me for future child support?
Who gets the other 25%

As a side note .. we have only been married a year and no i knew nothing of the BK or the past due support!
