How to file motion for discovery

How does one file a motion for discovery in Michigan? I understand it is sent to the lawyer for the side who is suing me. Do I send a copy to the court? Is there a particular format that needs to be used? Do I need to send it registered or certified or return receipt requested?
TIA,
Lil

Hello Lil:

If one of your friends asked you how to insert a stent into their heart because they couldn't afford to go to a doctor, what would you tell them? You would probably tell them that they shouldn't attempt this procedure themselves because they'll probably fail. If you WOULDN'T tell them that, you should.
