I must offer the following, however: After my latest release, I had to live in a half-way house for short time. While living there, I got a great job as a manager for a top of the line restaurant. Needing help (and thinking I'm a good person too), I hired guys from the half-way house.
Sure, MOST of them worked out. But, after closing one night, this guy, who begged me for the job, and actually worked his a$$ off, came right up to the cash register and took it - the whole damn thing....
So, the moral to my story is this: Continue to be good people. Hire him, don't let him near money, and watch him like a hawk.
This person has done his time and paid for his crime, I think it's great that you are hiring him and giving him another chance.
Like excon said I would keep him away from the cash, but other than that I think your boyfriend will be pleasantly surprised by his new employee, at least I hope so.
