I need to get rid of my live-in aide
About 9 months ago, I had a distant relative of mine move in to help out around the house, as I am phisically disabled. I am on a section 8 voucher, and he is on my lease as a live-in aide. He is supposed to do up to 12 hours of work a week, depending on what is needed, and pay me $35/week for his food and a part of the cable/phone/internet package that I have here. I pay the rent, and all of the utilities.

About 3 weeks ago, he moved in his girlfriend without asking me, stopped doing more than an hour a week, and stopped paying anything at all-between them, they have eaten almost all of my food, and I rarely get to use either my computer or my TV, unless I insist.

How do I go about getting them out? And how much notice do I have to give? Keep in mind that his girlfriend being here will cause me to be evicted if my landlord finds out.)

I live in hancock county, Ohio

Are they hired though any agency ?

If so, notify them that you are firing them.

But if not, give them a written notice that you are firing them, give them a written notice that they are to move out. If they don't, file for a formal eviction at the court.

If this is public housing, I would also talk to the manager of it, they may have another rule to help you get the extra person out along with the ex aide
