Living in two states, license

Hello there,

Here is my question: If you have residency in two states, and spend almost equal time in both states, how do you solve the license problem.

Here are more specifics: I had a MA license for some time, while at college. Moved to ME, got a new license there. Got a car, got it set up in ME.

Then for work and school, I moved back to MA about a year year and a half later. I switched my car info all around so that it was registered and insured in MA, but I kept the ME license as I need to drive a wheelchair van in ME.

So I thought I had done everything right, made the car a MA car as that is where that car is used. Anywhoo, my car got towed last night as my MA license has expired. I didn't even keep up on this as I only concerned myself with the ME license (I actually thought the MA one was terminated when I got the ME one)

I'm getting ready to take the hit, I have to get a MA license and pay for the towing and etc etc, but just wanted some advise if this is true, as this will terminate my ME license. I'd like to keep the ME license, my car registered in MA, and the wheelchair van in ME.

Thank you for any advise.
