Disability Benefits and Education

I am a mentally-disabled forty-three year old man. I suffer from severe depression. My physician has reccomended that I enroll in a few college courses to get me more involved mentally and socially. Would my attempt at college in any way affect my disability benefits? ( I very much doubt that I would take more than a few hours per semester.)

Thanks for your help! Tom [email address]

It should not have any effect at all. My neighbors son gets SSI for basicly the same thing and he is allowed to attend college. Good Luck

Hello tom:

Nahhh. Just don't accept a job as a professor, though.
