Cross Examination

I'm involved in a civil case at the Supreme Court in Quebec/Canada. I'm asked to be cross-examined before the trial date by the defendant’s lawyer (I’m suing them). Do I have the legal right to refuse this cross-examination or not according to the civil law in Quebec or human rights charter? Any comments or info A.S.A.P will be highly appreciated. Thanks for understanding, and all the attention that you are about to give me.
