Im 16 years old in Texas and in serious trouble. My mom is verbally and physically abusive to me. Not all the time but when something doesnt go her way. I have tried to tell my aunt but when she asked my mom about it, my mother lied and said that nothing has ever happened. I have pictures of my bruises and cuts. The thing is I have heard that you can't leave the house unless you are 17 and with a court order. I know I can leave now but I dont want to be put in a foster home. I have many places I can stay, but the problem is I'm trapped. I can't make a move because if I leave, my mom will call the cops on me for being a runaway, and she will call the cops on my bf for being 18. I need to know what I can do NOW to get out of here. I cant take it another moment. and another question.......is it statuatory rape if hes 18 and im 16? please help me.
