Does anyone know where I can find a copy of a cease and disist letter? I need help writing one. Thank you.

Thank you. It is creditors, my husband has been out of work secondary to illness and now a company is calling all the people he had listed on his resume for a job he applied for. I don't think that creditors can do that and so want to send this letter to them and explain his situation. Thank you for your help

Hello kenrhon:

Debt collection is covered by, "The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act". Google it. It will tell you what your rights are. Plus, it will tell you what creditors CAN'T do, and what you can do about it. It's not written in legalese, and it's not long.

But - DON'T explain to these people. They're not your friends and they need no explanation. TELL them what to do, and what you're going to do about it, if they don't! And, then do it.

I did not tell you good luck with nursing school the other day. I too am a nurse, but sorry to say school was a long long time ago. Thank you again for your help!
