Can my Wages be Garnished

I have a judgement against me. I have filed all the necessary paperwork with the Clerk of the Court requesting to go before a judge. They have already frozen my bank account and now they are trying to garnish my wages. My spouse is on Social Security Disability and I am Head of Household. This judgement is in my name only. My question is . . .
Being Head of Household . . .can my wages be garnished or my bank account be frozen?
I haven't even been given a court date yet. Thank You . . .

Hello R:

Have your wife's money direct deposited into ANOTHER account, because once it's in there, it's seizable. Otherwise, head of household being an IRS term, rather than a LEGAL term, I believe they CAN garnish your wages and seize your bank accounts.

The time to fight this suit was BEFORE a judgment was granted... You're going to have a much harder time now. What is the reason you gave the court to go before the judge??? Were you NOT served???? That's probably the ONLY reason you could use.

I guess it couldn't hurt to call the clerk and let them know that you need an EMERGENCY court date.
