The class is from 6:30-8:30 pm Monday-Friday and ends on April 3rd
I arrived on time and was standing outside the door by 6:25 pm exactly on the nick of the clock, and they told me class had started and I was late. I, making excuses, thought my watch was wrong, so I checked my father's watch which was the same, then the radio, then my cellphone, then I called home and asked to check on the Direct Tv cable. It was 6:25 SHARP. There was no reason for me to be considered late, and no reason on why I should have to come with the next drivers ed class to make up the two hours. I am sick and tired of this non-sense and am debating on whether or not I should keep silent or speak out against this. Please enlighten me with your answers.
What time do other students get to this class? Ask them and go at the same time they do. Quite possibly there was a misprint in the times of the class. Who knows?
If all of the other students were there, and the class had started, then there was a poblem on the time it started. And there is nothing you can do but do what they tell you and make it up.

I don't know what school this is but in most classes I've taken if start time is 6:25PM you must be in your seat, "ready to go" at 6:25 - not standing outside the door.
Hey it gets better when you are older. If you work 9 to 5 that means be there by 8:45 at the latest! Get used to showing up to places 15 minutes early and you will be ok.
As you can see, there are various ideas as to what starting at 6:30 means.
You need to be clear about what the administration of the class considers the "start time". If the guy teaching the class can't be specific about what the 6:30 start time means, then how can he be specific about what a 30 MPH speed limit means?????
Yes, talk to HIM. Tell him that you'll be in your seat by the start time, if you only knew what that start time was. Would he be so kind as to elucidate you? If he can't, or won't, tell him that his bosses might be able to. Then follow through.....
The bigger lesson here, is that you need to stand up for yourself when you've been wronged.
He and everyone else always says six thirty and this is the first time I am late, but in reality was five mins early. It's in the contract when you sign for the course.
