    Bereavement Days
In the state of Pennsylvania, is there any law which dictates to an employer, the number of bereavement days an employee should receive for the death of a parent. Or an immediate family member.

    Hello,
I'm sorry for you loss. I am an HR Manager and have been for many years. With regard to your question, the standard for bereavement is usually three days. If it requires travel, possibly five. Some employers require proof in the form of the funeral program. Hope that helps.
