| Are airguns illegal now? I am a target shooter and airgun enthusiast and I know alot about airguns and the laws that apply to them. The only thing that I don't understand is that when I went to Canadian tire today the staff person said that the entire Canadian tire chain pulled air rifles and pistols off their shelves and the reason for that is because bad people were buying them and abusing them[ using them in criminal activity etc]. I know the law states that any airgun that fires a pellet over 500 feet per second is considered a firearm and requires a PAL to get it and airguns must be used on private property or at a recreational environment. As a result of what happened at Canadian tire and wal mart does this mean that airguns are illegal now? I hope to God not , somewone please tell me. |
