Tiled terrace on garage roof leaking rain in to garage
    Hi,

I have a concrete block built garage the roof of which acts as a terrace/patio. It is tiled with quarry tiles. Recently, during severe weather, the rain has started to run through the tiles (somehow? The grouting was waterproof and looks OK) and through the joints in the concrete into the garage.

Is there any way to: waterproof over the tiles? Or waterproof the garage ceiling?

I have an awful feeling that the only way will be to take up & re-tile with membrane (or use lots of buckets on the garage floor)

    Thanks in anticipation

Home depot has a product call ''Drylok'' masonry waterproofing. U have to put on at least 2 coats.

This should stop coming through ceiling, but it will probably come out some place else.

Used it on my basement walls. Did a good job.
    Used 3 coats.

I personally don't know of anything u can use on tile. Maybe someone else here can help u out with at.

    Good luck

    Hi Chuck,

Thanks for that. I'll have to find an outlet in the UK - if I can, I'll give it a try.
