    Pond fish hiding
My pond is clean, temperatures are good, plants are doing great and all the fish look very healthy.

I have a large tera cotta pot on the bottom of the pond, that has been there for years. For the last week one big white fish (comet about 11") has been hanging out in the pot, all the other fish seem to be hovering around the white fish.

A larger orange one will sometimes swim into the pot and around the white one, but it doesn't seem to bother it and it stays in the pot. Pretty much just the tail sticking out.

What do you suppose is going on in there? secret fish party?

Fish like shadows and hiding spots, their behavior doesn't alarm me. They may have had a visit from a Heron or other creature and are just laying low for now.

Or they think they have. I recently put up one of those Owls that move in the wind and reflect every where, maybe I have it too close to the pond?
