These tomatoes are easy to grow. but this time the yield was
only three tomatoes. what did I do wrong. Yes I did fertized. This cherry Tomatoe plant is in a large pot whereas last year it was in the ground. did not take suckers off. watered everyday. appreciate the help

Have you fertilized?

Have you tilled the ground so that it is about ten or more inches of well-tilled loose soil?

Is there adequate drainage?

Have you taken off the "suckers" so that there are more blooms and thus more tomatoes?

Did you plant the tomato plants in the same area that you planted other tomato plants last year? (Not a good idea to do that if you did.)

Have there been any changes in the environment that would affect the lighting conditions?

Have you watered the plants adequately and during the morning when watering should occur?

I read your question carefully.....you said it was in a pot!! For growing fruits and vegtables the middle number on the bag of fertizer should be the highest one. It goes like this: up, down, and all around. So for a bag of 10-20-10 you would buy that which has the middle number larger. The first number is nitrogen, you will have lots of leaves (up) but few tomatoes. If the last number is the largest then you'll have great root growth, again few tomatoes. This has been a weird spring, with warm weather followed by frost. Take heart.
