History of my house

Hi, we have just moved into our cottage on the Isle of Wight, and would like to know who used to live here in the past. The cottage was built in 1850.

Thanks

Sounds charming. You'll have to go down to the local office where the deeds are kept to start your search. May I also suggest talking to anyone in the town who is older. Also be sure to check with the local newspaper for any info on the area.
