i wear braces and elastics. i ate a little snack and didnt take off da rubber band i noticed that i accidentally swallowed one w/ my food. i can feel it in my throat and the next day my throat hurt REALLY BAD its been 3 days and i feel da same. i already drank tons of water ate dry bread meat banana ice cream etc and it hurts A LOT when i swallow. ive been to the doctor and he said its impossible cuaz the elastic is too small so i aint even get a x ray done he said its probably a scratched throat. if it is a scratched throat how long does it take to heal? why does it feel like the rubber band is there. (the way i wear my elastic makes the rubber band wider and bigger)3 days and i feel the same i even shook salt water in my throat. wat should i do?!

well, it seems like this is distressing you, i would suggest that you go back to the doctors if you are really unsure they might be able to look further into your throat. I would be tempted to think it might just be a scratch though that is gettin irritated by the food you are swallowing.
