very sharp shooting pains in groin area when standing up

i have sharp shooting pains in my groin area they come and go but only when i am standing...and it has only been today????? can any1 help???

could be anything from a hernia to an injured hip to even kidney stones. but, just panic yet. you may have just twisted funny, or slept in a strange position. give it a few days and see what happens
