Hair is thinning

I am 35 yrs old and my hair is thinning aroung the crown of my head and my hairline is receding. I am a decent looking fellow and kind of got by on my looks and intelligence throughout my life. I feel people look at me weird now that my hair is waning...like I did this on purpose. Anyone have any hints on re-growing hair? I have tried a bunch of products bought on the web to re-grow or stimulate new hair growth but none really did anything. Any ideas? I haven't tried any products with minoxidil because I fear side effects.

Thanks

HI,
I am 64 yrs old, and at around 33, my hair stated thinning some, and turning more of a grayish color.
Now, I am mostly bald on the top, back of my head, with much thinning around the front.
I also tried some "grow hair" products, but finally came to the conclusion that any of this that worked required constant, everyday, care. Applying the stuff from tubes, using a "rinser", then a "refresher", then others, every night, really got to be a pain.
I finally realized that it's me. If my hair wants to keep getting thinner and thinner, then it's normal. Some men wear "mops", of one sort or another. I don't care for them, never even looked at buying one.
There are also procedures for hair implants; which I never tried either.
The main thing is to be happy with yourself, Smile, and don't let others dictate how you feel. If you can get to the point of not being self-conscious about this, you will be amazed at how many people don't even notice anymore!
I do wish you the best of luck.

It is called growing old, and people do it at different rates, Hair loss is merely one of the results. Mainly the best thing is to find a way to be happy with yourself they way you are. Believing that the loss of hair makes you less, is a myth that the hair growth products have sold you.

Think of all the sexy bald men and be happy

Those hair products don't work....

1) Get a wig
2) Get a hair transplant
3) Learn to live with the fact that MANY men go bald.

Look at Jason Alexander (George from Seinfeld)

Well, it's not necessarily about growing old as some men never lose their hair. It is about having too much dihydrotestostorone, or the bad testostorone. I have never found a topical lotion that did anything. Hair transplants work but your hair is never as thick as it used to be and don't forget that they are taking it from the back so the donor area becomes thinner. A lot of today's young men are lucky that head shaving is the style now and you will save yourself a lot of time and money if you just do that. If you have transplants you will never be able to shave your head because of all the scar tissue there and then you will have to deal with, "Do I color it or not" when you get older. A balding head usually means a hairy body and the total look can be very hot if you do nothing. Go see a holistic physician (ACAM) and have him check your hormone levels, then you can make a better decision, once you have established a baseline and are sure nothing is abnormal.

I'm 27 and have just noticed my hair is slightly starting to recede in my temple region. I thought i will be going bald in the next 5 or 6 years until i met some friends after a few years and they have had the same problems and they told me that they used products called provillus and Zulvera natural hair loss treatments and there hair started to grow again. I will be ordering the Zulvera herbal hair shampoo soon and hope it works for me. You can google search these products and will get some great info.
