Sexual activity causing extreme pain

When I have any sort of sexual activity with my girlfriend, after a short while she'll suddenly collapse in pain. She says it feels like its on fire and it seems that her muscles clench and spasm. This can go on for quite a while, the longest it's happened for was about 40 minutes. Penetration isn't required for this to happen. Neither of us have any idea why it's happening and there's no warning before it happens. Any ideas about what could be causing the problem? What can we do to make it go away?

I don't think so, there are no symptoms whatsoever unless there's sexual activity. We've only been dating for a few months so I'm not sure but I think this has been going on for a while. Also, if it makes any difference, she did have a somewhat abusive boyfriend about a year ago, but it didn't sound like he was sexually abusive (for the most part).

firstly i would suggest she go to a doctor to rule out physical illness.

the second reason may perhaps have something to do with her past relationship...physcomatic,maybe.

im not a health care professional, but again i suggest she see her doctor to rule out and physical ailments first.

Problem is, she doesn't have and health insurance and neither of us have enough money to really get this thing checked out properly.
