I'm 36 Y/O african american male over the past year I have noticed my lips turning lighter a very light shade of pink. I now have lips that are two shades brown and pink. it didn't bother me much until i went to visit family this past summer and my mother and my aunt seemed very concerned. they had not seen me in over a year.

I cant figure out what the cause of this is. and how to treat this. I am otherwise healthy. i stopped smoking 3 years ago. I don't take meds other than tylenol or motrin occasionally I don't know what to do

A dermatologist may recognize the color change. See one. I am thinking of the skin condition Vitiligo, but that may be wrong.
