Headaches

Hi, I am prone to headaches, usually around my period. I am a 23 year old female and have had a headache for two weeks straight(its not around my period) and was wondering if its normal to have a headache this long. I have taken over the counter prescription, nothing, called my doctor but because she knows I am prone to headaches and booked just prescribed me a prescription, which doesn't help either and generally does. Any help would be great. I am thinking about going to er but I just want to see if anyone has been in this situation, along with the headaches for two weeks I can't sleep at night but sleep all day and have no appetite.

Are you under an unusual amount of stress? I NEVER get headaches and I had one continuously through the first 2 weeks of Nursing school then it went away.

I am wondering if it could be stress related.

My mom is prone to headaches as well i she had a migrane for 6 weeks straight and she finally went to a doctor to get a stronger medication so that it would go away and they found out she had a really bad pitched nerve or something in her neck and it was hitting a nerve that hit her back, neck, and brain.. you might want to go see a doctor, if anything he can prescribe you with a stronger medication so that it will go away

have you tried a chiropractor? I suffer from frequent headaches...it's usually something to do with spinal alignment.
