My question is :
Would it be safe to donate after having a reaction while donating and ending up in the ER.
I'm sure it was from not eating enough and not drinking enough water but was told by paramedics that you can have a reaction to anything even if you've done it for a long time.I donated for over 2 yrs and was fine.I am not a skinny person and am 58 yrs old so don't know if age had anything to do with it. I only have one good vein so had to use same arm over and over. I got very sick and passed out for a full 25 seconds and when I woke up they said I quit breathing and had thrown up. It has been over 3 months since that incident so don't know if I dare try it again.... wonder if anyone else has ever had that experience.
