Automatic shutdown,power supply

[F]H[/font] Hello there how r u? This seems so confusing but I'll try to explain the best I can. I was changing a cpu fan with a heat sync and all went pretty good except when I was all finished and started my computer, the power came on imeadeatly shut off.Im thinking what could of I possibly done wrong. So I back tracked everything all the way to putting the fan I had on there to begin with. And still same thing happened. Do u know what this could be? Im thinking power supply switch on the back. I have an AMD Athlon . Is this common? Im way hoping its not my motherboard. HELP..
