Generally MP3 players connect to a PC via a USB port. You can then send files to them the way you would any drive.

If it is like the nw-a1000 that my father won they are crap for transferring music. You MUST use their software (SonicStage) to transfer music to the device and, in doing so, it converts the music to ATRAC format. To get it off the player onto a PC try the program here:

I don't recommend these devices to anyone.
