keyboard problems

I didnt know if this was the right bit but it seemed to be, but, my keyboard has one problem. a few buttons are working at opposites the @ shouldnt be shift+2 because its a brit keyboard and " shouldnt be shift+' they're just being bad lol but if anyone knows how to make my at sign appear where it should youd be of great assistance thanks in advance

Check your regional settings as they are set to American rather than UK.
Start > Control Panel > Regional and language options.
Make sure everything is set to UK.

Yes, Americans have all the buttons in the wrong place!

I still get this problem on some american software, where they don't use the windows settings.
