| Have you installed the latest motherboard drivers? Double click on the unknown device, and select details tab.
For many devices, looking at the hardware id will give you a clue as to what it is. If you see "PCI" or "ACPI" as part of the string, then its probably a motherboard driver that you need.
For example, I have an asus MB, with an unknown device shown under Other devices.
I copied and paste the ID string into google and found that it was the Asus AIBooster driver that I didn't install.
If your PC is working fine, i.e. internet, email, gaming, etc. then disable the device, and the found new driver wizard will go away. |
