Best m/b+cpu for £200?

Hi, it's time to build a new computer, however since it's been 6 years since I last did this my knowledge of current hardware is rather poor.
I've been trying to find out the best m/b cpu combination I can afford but keep getting confused.
I've all but decided on an Intel Q6700, but may go for a Q9450 if I can find one cheap enough (there is currently one on Ebay for buy it now £159), but as for a m/b...
I think I'll go for a DDR3, seperate graphics card, raid.
I would like to keep the costs below about £200 for m/b and processor but would consider going slighly over (I could skimp on other components for now).
Any guidance (even critising my cpu choice) would be appreiated.
Cheers, Mark
