A year or two in my experience, but those were student years. I'd pour a bit out and have a look to see if it has settled/ decomposed at all. It's got alcohol in it so I wouldn't be too worried about bugs.

This is direct from baileys

What is the shelf life of Baileys?

Baileys is the only cream liqueur that guarantees its taste for 2 years from the day it was made, opened or unopened, stored in the in the fridge or not when stored away from direct sunlight at a temperature range of 0-25 degrees centigrade.

One of the keys to achieving this 2 year shelf-life is in our patented process of blending of fresh Irish cream with the spirits and the whiskey without the use of preservatives. The alcohol acts as a natural preservative for the product.

Under normal conditions of storage Baileys has a shelf-life of 30 months.

If you are concerned about a bottle of Baileys please check the best consumed before date on the bottle - all bottles now carry a best before date. This number is located on the bottom left hand side of the back label. Example : Code 11 20XY would mean that we guarantee the product would taste perfect until that date (XY is the year 2 years from the date of manufacture)

Enjoying some right now which says enjoyed best by 3/09 on bottle. It was opened probably sometime in 2007. Bottle about 1/3 full. Product had not separated or curled and looked same as day 1. It was kept in a fairly dark pantry at room temp since opened. Put some over the rocks- yummy. So - suppose how it was kept, and how it looks before you drink it is another answer. Wow still has some kick too! Cheers!

yes. I agree with someone before told me to try throw in some in hot to black coffee which will curdle the liquid if bad otherwise it looks and tastes good. Just tried a bottle which says best before 2010 oct. and probably opened during 2010 xmas time but today 2012 oct 14 tastes really good. and I am still living.
