Why is he being like this

So heres the story my ex best friend and I were really good mates, there is this guy that well is a really big jerk my friend does not see that in him

. So anyway this jerk makes up all this stuff up about me and well now he wont talk to me and doesnt hang out with me. I really peed off with this jerk that I have told my deans, teachers and well just about everybody! And he knows that I would never talk about him behind his back but he just wont belive me what can I do?
