If you are twelve then you can really think about what you are saying and do a little soul searching. There is obviously a good reason why your mom feels this way towards you. You are probably constantly complaining, constantly wanting, constantly wishing you were some place else (and letting your mom know this). I think I understand how she feels. You are taking and not giving. Once you learn to give, you won't feel like your mom hates you so much, and after that it will open up a whole new blessed relationship for you and will be a total learning experience for how you see future relationships.

At twelve you are still a child. And not the child from hell. Your mom is an adult. Some adults are MEAN, even parents. It isn't YOU, it is her. She has probably had a hard life but that is not your fault. There is a good chance that whatever your Mom calls you, you are in fact the EXACT opposite. Seek out teachers, neighbours, coaches and friends who can see the REAL YOU, and appreciate your gifts and talents and just YOU. Bloom, grow, laugh and love and always remember that one day you will be far from your Mom and so will your brother.

Holly, do you know what sets off your mom, that she yells at you? Do both you and your brother have chores around the house or other responsibilities?

Can you try to make her hard life before you a little better; make her life easier. By doing that, it makes is easier for you. Sounds like she has a lot in life to deal with, maybe she is a single mom, no support, no one to turn to. Think about it.

Children that are disobedient, disrespectful and ungrateful will make their parents hate them. I feel the same way about my own children. Despite all of my efforts and hard work, now that they are teenagers, they have turned into children from hell. I once enjoyed being a mother and looked forward to seeing my children when I woke up and or got off work, now I hate having to deal with them on a daily basis. I feel like being a mother is a curse!!!!!

I feel sorry for them. They didn't raise themselves - you raised them to be disobedient, disrespectful and ungrateful.

I'm sure they see and recognize your attitude toward them. I can't imagine how I would feel if my mother hated me (which is the title of this thread).
