What are some similarities between real father and stepfather?

I have to write a comparison-contrast essay and my topic is Two Dads Are Better Than One.

I got my three differences in my thesis statement, which is the real father and the stepfather are totally different from how they are responsible for their family, have discipline and want a good education for their children. I am looking for some similarties to write an extra paragraph and add it in my thesis statement.

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate it for your help.

I can only speak from my own experience. My step father has been a wonderful blessing in my life for 35 years. He has given me the same respect, love, and guidance as my real father has. He has always referred to me as his daughter and never introduced me as being his step daughter. He has shown me both tough love and compassion. He has always been there for me. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for the two wonderful dads in my life. They both take equal pride of the woman I have grown up to be. We lost my Mom in May of 2006 and they both lost the woman that was the love of each of their lives. They have become very close friends over the years and have never made me feel like I had to choose between them.
