Why am I so sad and lonely? I'm a nice guy. People like me. I get along great with others( I'm kind of quiet, though) and I'm an ok student. One of the things that frustrate me is not being able to do projects because I don't have the things that I need. As you can guess, I don't have a lot of friends, too.

I have made one effort this year. It ended miserably. Last year, I talked to a lot of people.

I don't know. I'm trying to remember. I think I liked the solitude, and I got used to it. I really don't know.

So you are able to talk to other people. Now, just seek out other people that share your interests - join a club, etc., and meet some people.

I am friendly with everyone at work and chat up customers left and right but only have 1 person I really consider a friend, besides my husband. Pick quality over quanity when it comes to picking friends.

I'm already in a club. I plan to go the Ottawa Chess Federation club in the summer.

OK. Once I join a new club, I'll do that. Now, what about the sad part?

I'm usually a happy guy( despite the loneliness), but once something wrong happens, I get angry and then anger turns into sadness.

Since I don't know how old you are, that is a tough one. If you are an adult, well the "kids" should have parents or other older people you can meet. If you mean they are more immature than you, look a little harder. There are diamonds in the rough in there somewhere and probably too shy to say hello.
