i was married for almost 35years when he just walked out after another big bust up and i have not seen or heard from him since that day..which was just over 4 years ago. my heartache was not over the break up and subsequent divorce but my sons who after a while deserted me one by one....i have not seen 2 for nearly 3 years and was not invited to their weddings..one has been in contact recently and comes to see me but will not discuss anything about what happened..i gave my whole life to them and have nothing at all now but memories of happy times and long for the closeness we shared before it all went up in a puff of smoke.. i am so lost and alone and try hard to reach out to them but mostly to no avail. was my only sin that i loved and cared for them too much.. how do i move on without them and on my own????

i find it weird that the loved ones in your life are disowning you. did something else ever happen?

in the meantime...you need to meet people and become social. have thought about support groups? do you go to church? you can meet people there.

thanks so much and yes i think there was lots of things going on that i knew nothing about lies and deceit all round, main offender and instigator the husband and sons followed up as finding out bits and pieces from the younger one ...son number 3 married an alcoholic, and is now fast becoming one himself, and having never smoked has been introduced to this by his wife who is 14years his senior. son number 2 has many issues, at 38 is still not settling in any relationship, and i suspect he is struggling with his sexuality..ad infinitum ..i think the catalyst for it all was the breakup, it definitely put the cat among the pigeon.. i am still reeling and trying to pick up the pieces !!! as for me, i have tried many things it is easier said than done, so i am settling for solitude and hope in the man in the sky
