Why not? Being in jail doesn't preclude signing legal documents or being tested for anything.
How can i get that ordered? No one at the Jail seems to help me, and the father and i want to take one... so... do you know how to get that taken care of?
You cannot force someone to sign a birth certificate ...period... but you can ask for an DNA test...in most prison systems ...prisoners DNA are collected and placed in their record...contact a lawyer to get this done...are you looking for child support from a man in prison...rethink this action...
You can do both. Not sure of the process to take as far as the DNA testing goes, but it can be done, I do believe it takes a court order though. As far as the birth papers go, I had a baby with a man who ended up in Fed prison (big mistake by the way)-we were not married, so I sent him affidavit papers and all he had to do was get it signed and notarized and sent it back to me and then I took care of the rest.
