ghost in the house?

hi my name is screamin and we just moved into this apartment and me and my wife both her the weirdest sounds but only at nighti have ask the manger if there is anyway to get into the attic(thinking it was kids playing)and he said no it is sealed.but these sounds start out as a thump,thump and then u can hear faint voices i get up look around open the door and see if anyone is by the window and not a soul and we have no one that lives next door to us.I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS THE RIGHT AREA TO POST THIS but it is always at the same time every nitght.i dont want to sound like a nut or anything but does anyone know how to see if ur house is haunted or not i have had many sleepless nites any help i would appericate

It could be some of the things the other users have posted. As far as the faint voices, I am not sure about that one. Usually those things can only be picked up by meters used by Paranormal Investigators. If you have a local group or organazation that does this, you can contact them and see if they can check it out. If not, follow the advice of some of the other users and have the landlord investigate this for some sort of critter or piping problem.

andrewcocke, that happened to me, except the old house is a block away from mine, i wtn in with a friend and a 3rd friend to guard the cellar door, and when we came back up, hr was gone, the one guarding the door, he stole my BMX bike

One way to know if your house is haunted is to find a phycic (i dont know how to spell it properly sorry) that can "speak" with spirits and ask her to check it out. Also ask your landlord if there has ever been any murdurs/suicides at night in that particular apartment.
