Is my friend who just passed doing ok?

A good friend of mine passed away about 6 months ago. I would like to know if he is ok now and if he is settled on the other side. I would also like to know if what we as friends are about to do with his brother is right or wrong, this is a tough situation.

Do you meditate and try to connect to the soul within, prayers are a good way of connect to god, but make sure when you are conducting the act of prayer you are not only verbally speaking, try to commit your mind, body and soul to the prayer submit yourself whole heartedly.
