do they care?

I get the feeling every now and then that my friends don't really care about me. Like, I know they enjoy me being around but whenever i'm upset, they don't really care or do anything about it. I ussually just end up listening to their problems.

What do you mean they don't do anything about it? Do they listen? Do they show you that courtesy? I have friends that I go to for moral support and I have friends whom I give it to.....I also have "fun" friends. I wonder if you are having too many hard times and they just get tired of hearing about it? I don't mean that in a rude way either, I mean it because sometimes, we "use" our friends to vent to. We seem to find it comfy to have someone to complain about each and every thing that is going on with ourselves! It can become habit to just complain and leave out all the good stuff, I mean who needs help wiht the good stuff right? I am happy to hear about you being a good friend to those whom you think should be a good friend to you......there has to be a reason and if we look deep enough I am sure you will find it!

Well, i'm a naturally happy person. my friends think that all the little problems they have are huge, they ALWAYS vent to me. I mean they are great friends it just bothers me that they seem to brush off whatever is on my mind.

I am too, I have had my share of people not taking me seriously when I have had a problem. Sometimes, I just look else where. Some people are able to give that support, some aren't. You just got stuck with the people that aren't able to really support you. I am sorry for that. I am one of those people that can give a shoulder, but sometimes I have no words to offer. We are all different and if ihad to bet, I bet they do care, they just aren't able to show it or they just feel as if they can't help.
