G Test Query

Hello.

I live in Ontario, and my parents have been stressing that you need to take your G test 1 year after your G2 test or else you'll have to take your G2 again. I'm quite confused on that logic, since my G2 license says it'll expire in 3 years, not 1.

Do I need to take my G test 1 year right after my G2? Or can I say, wait until summer since the roads are horrendous?

You can read the graduated driving rules for Ontario here. It says you have five years to complete the full process, but I don't see anything about needing to take the G test within a year. You might want to call the Ministry and check.
